West Central Florida Chapter (WCFLAMS) LOGO competition
Submit your entry by January 6th
Currently we use a very general logo which was provided by the AMS. See http://wcflams.org/ It says AMS local chapter.
We would like to have a new chapter logo which says specifically our chapter name, “West Central Florida Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.” As such, we are holding a logo competition and we are asking you to submit your ideas!
You may consider themes for the picture of the logo which is relevant to this area, e.g. hurricanes, lightning, or any other ideas you may have for our organization. The logo will be used on the chapter web page, on letterhead and on a banner. By submitting your entry, you are giving us permission to use the logo as we wish. The entries should be submitted using the following software:
Photoshop - all versions up to CS5. Include all layers, paths, channels, links and fonts.
Adobe Illustrator - all versions up to CS5. Convert text to outlines and include all linked images. Do not embed images.
Programs Not Accepted:
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Publisher
PowerPoint
Visual Graphic Area of banner: 26.5"w x 78"h
4 colors maximum for the banner, but if you want to create a separate identical logo but with more colors for our web page and letterhead, that is ok. See http://www.tradeshowplus.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/artguidelines.pdf for more details about specs. This will be where we will get the winning design printed on a banner.
The winner will receive a 3 year membership to the chapter for the 2012-2015 year. We look forward to your submission and hopefully your submission will become part of WCFLAMS as we move into the future.
